Jan Svoboda, Vice President of Sales – Americas at SMARTRAC, gave us the full tour of their booth at RFID Journal LIVE! 2013. SMARTRAC is a leading developer of RFID transponders and manufactures products for the passive RFID frequency standards – LF, HF, and UHF. SMARTRAC also manufactures NFC tags which operate within the HF standard (ISO 14443/A). On the show floor, SMARTRAC displayed a select group of their RFID product portfolio including many of their UHF RFID tags.
As Jan states, the tags themselves don’t shine until someone implements them in unique applications. To make sure that RFID Journal LIVE! attendees could see the full potential of their products, SMARTRAC invited a few of their partners to the show.
One partner used a Zebra RFID printer to encode their RFID tags. Each RFID tag has a unique identifier, and the printer generates a unique EPC number for each tag while also collecting the generated data and uploading it to a central database. Another partner, Entigral Systems, uses SMARTRAC’s wide portfolio of RFID inlays in their asset tracking software solutions. The SMARTRAC products give them the ability to adapt to different situations depending on the assets.
